I see no reason why the name of the website would need to be changed. I think the idea "home of" is an excellent one. As far as membership items, its not absolutely necessary but if that's something somebody wants to take on I'm not opposed to it.
One word of caution: It may turn in to more work than you think.

: I just have one question befor we continue. Lets say we come up with a good name, will it completly take over the current name "The Official Titanic Scale Model Page"? This one concerns me a little. To be able to make a website on the W.W.W. and call it 'official' is something I take very personal. There are millions of site(maybe not that many, but you get the point), and only a handfull can be the 'Official' page for that subject. I truly believe that's what my page is. Thats why I changed it from "The Original Titanic Scale Model Page", bet you guys forgot about that one. So, if anyone can clear this one up for me, I will be greatfull. Now, on the other hand I could keep the name and write in somewhere, "Home of the Titanic Modelers International".
: I've also been thinking of this membership thing. We could throw in a cool membership kit. Card, certificate, and maybe a new GMM part made just for the members. Loren, ya reading this? Lets not get too far ahead yet, just some ideas.

Anyone has always been free to create their own Titanic website and many have. However few have been as succesful as this one thanks mainly to the direction given it by Sean. As president there would be no change in his authority or responsibilities unless he would care to delegate any. Since this is his website he would have the final say on its operation. This way the organization IS the website only now it has a name other than its URL.
