I have been building my 1/570 since last April. Sometimes I go very slowly but it is coming along. I am using the 1/570 to practice my techniques before I tackle the 1/350. I even have the 1/400 from Revell of Germany that I will assemble next, before I do the 1:350.
The 1/570 is a real challenge because it is so small. I elected not to file down the moled "walls" as I call them that take the place of the railings in the larger model. I didn't want to bother with that. I am using all of Bruce's decals for the windows and it makes such a difference. Problem is, each window takes two applications of decals. IT is very tedious but worth it in the end.
I think I will take until April to finish. I am not a fan of a small scale like this because it leaves off so much detail. But I hope it still looks nice when I am done.
