Titanic-Discovery special

Well, it looked like another RMST technology achievement special. Did you notice they completely discounted all of Bob Ballard's discoveries, even making mention that the wreck was discovered in 1987. Not to mention that all their 'theories' were proven by all the previous expeditions. It was almost comical that all these engineers and forensics personnel came to all these 'startling revelations and conclusions' that were already brought to the forefront. Also comical were the times when the 'naval engineers' scoured the bottom looking for items and couldn't identify objects. Duh, why don ya look at Bob Ballard's first book to see the exact objects, readily identified and give him some sort of credit! I thought RMST's bow and stern mosaics can never compare to Ballard's mosaic and Ken Marschall's paintings. As you can tell, the first special did nearly nothing for me.

Now, the second special was great. It was great hearing the story from Lightoller, Boxhall, Prentice, Edith Russell and Eva Hart themselves, not to mention all the interior footage and the Olympic buiding moving pictures. It was to the point, not filled with the drama of an approaching hurricane, waiting to see of the unexploded boiler on the ocean floor really exploded, and was a well-rounded program.
