Diane: The wood in the photograph looks like it has a white stain on it. It is a very bright wood, wicker funiture is darker than it. I gave some pantone colors in a listing. The wood has a reflective sheen to it which makes it look bright, a shiny type of wood. The grain is wide so it would be noticeable close up. It is used all over Texas as lumber. You can go down the highways in Texas and see the housing developements being built, the framing uses yellow pine and they do not look white, but a yellow tan color.
