I note that the Lines Plan has a much greater sheer (Is that the correct jargon and use of?). In any case, the bow and the stern are much higher in the Lines Plan than in the Side Profile.
I have attached two pictures to help illustrate this.
I have taken great care to ensure the ships in the two diagrams were of equal length and that the aspect ratio was not altered on either diagram. I didn't want to attach a picture of this cross-referencing showing the entire hull so as to breach any copyright. Indeed I only showed what I felt the minimum would be so as to illustrate my confusion.
Could anybody please clarify for me why the two diagrams indicate significantly different sheer?
If there is no logical explanation, I wonder if anybody could advise me which diagram displays Titanic's sheer most accurately?
