Well I notice some similar ways the images were blended together. I can't tell the superstructure decks apart in the 2010 image of the stern. The zoomable mosaics show that. For example the forward end of the boat deck on the stern in front of the 2nd Class entrance, you sort of see the three portholes of the smoking broom, and they are blurred into the rest of the structure. he four fingers supports on the port side are barely noticeable.
You compare this photo of Roy's model to the 2010 mosaic of the stern you can tell the difference.
I can't tell that well from the new mosaic how the decks have collapsed, after reading the 2001 report by Ken Marschall. He says the superstructure decks collapsed, but in the 2010 mosaic it is difficult to tell that. The Boat deck and A deck are crushed together, with the C deck portholes below them seen from the port side.
There are no photos of this side of the stern to help guide me to finish my model. It's a problem given I am making the wreck as of 2004, but have no stern images of the port side to help me.
This is Roy's model of the area.
I'd say the same on the port side of the bow section as a mosaic.
What does this side of the wreck look like and was a mosaic made of this side at all?
