almost totally "accurized" the no. 1 hatch.

that 'X' is from the PE set- trimmed from the PE posts and CA'd onto the rods. The posts do look out of scale, but this is 1/700! those rods are less than .4mm in diameter.
the default placement of the lifeboats on the kit's boat deck is too inboard, leaving very little room between the boats and the raised roof below funnel 4. So i decided to fill in the recess on the deck with v-groove sheet styrene and have the boats and davits near the edge of the ship. This was very hard to do as i had to avoid damaging the raised plank lines and scratching the paint while levelling the styrene with a chisel and sandpaper.
and in case you are wondering, my rigging material is HAIR. Werid, yes, but i think it's the best material for rigging at this scale.
