#161, "Titanic Wreck Models in 1/144th scale for sale" Mon Nov-09-09 10:45 AMby markey
I'm currently taking commissions for 1/144th scale models of the wreck of the Titanic. Along with the popular and known to all bow section I can also recreate the lesser known wreck of the stern section, which I can assure you is exremely rare. All models are handbuilt to a very high standard, their goal being to recreate the ship as discovered by R. Ballard in 1985. Previous happy customers include www.titanichonourandglory.co.uk which have exhibited my work at various venues including the National Maritime Museum. Here are a few words from a letter I received from Titanic Honour and Glory regarding a stern wreck model I made for them earlier this year:
".... it was nice meeting up with you again on Wednesday evening when we called to collect the Titanic stern wreck. As expected the model went down well, pardon the pun, no seriously the curator, volunteers and visitors all had praise for the detail and how magnificent the model is looking. One member of the public said to a lady with her - look we were watching that last night on television in a documentary and now they have the model here, its wonderful".
Other than 1/144th scale wreck models a future project is a 1/72nd scale wreck model which is in the pipeline.
