#467, "6 foot model, 50,000 matchsticks, unique history"

I'm asking myself why I haven't become active on this forum earlier, it seems marvelous.

I need some advice. We recently hit hard times and in efforts to find money I am considering parting with my Titanic model I purchased in 1992 at the Titanic Historical Society convention in Boston. It was auctioned off on the last day. It is made from 50,000 matchsticks and has removable decks. It was built by a man in Maine who spent 8 years making it. I had some offers to buy it in the 90s but none since then.

Any thoughts on how much I could reasonably sell it for? General advice or questions would be appreciated. I can provide pictures if that would help. It's hard to consider selling it, but I have little of value and this is something.

Thank you!
