#46967, "Titanic's inner mechanical equipping"

Sorry for the possible off-topic, again! But I'm quite confused in regarding one technical issue of Titanic's building...

WHEN the installation of boilers and steam-engines took place? During the general construction, or AFTER the launch, in the Fitting-out Wharf??

Please, dear T. Experts: help me to find out the correct chronology, at last!!

Very best wishes and friendly greetings from Russia,

Eugene.

This occurred after the slipway stage of construction and happened while Titanic was at the fitting out wharf. That is why, when she was launched, Titanic (as with all ships of the time) sat so high out of the water, as she was basically an empty shell minus machinery fittings etc.

Mike.

Ah, that's it!

Sorry for my stupidity and lack of basic knowledge! There are too much apocryphal Russian sources on this subject, I should complain...

Thanks a lot for clarifying, Mike!

Regards,

Eugene.

Does the 400 in the lower left-hand corner indicate that this is a photo of the Olympic? I've never seen this photo before!
