#54982, "Rope from the Titanic"
Thu Apr-20-17 12:10 PMby s-bguzik

I have just received a piece of rope which was removed from a lifeboat in New York in 1912. It was removed by a good friend of mines great grandfather who was a us customs officer stationed at the White Star pier. I am not selling it but I am curious as to value. I know a cracker sold for 22k and the white star pennant sold for around 75k. This is only one of the three pieces which were wound together to make the full diameter.

The man in green is who we believe to be William A Longabaugh based off of his stature and the fact that he has been pictured in the 50s with his old hat which looks the same as the one in the photo.
Does anybody know the lifeboat numbers in this photo or is it impossible to tell.

(The hand in the photo is not mine, it's my friends and I am a guy

Thank you and enjoy!
