Hi

I Have posted another couple of pics of the hull primed same link as before

http://s1161.photobucket.com/albums/q510/sharktrainer/

Have masked round the sheer line to spray the whitework (not shown) and will do this tomorrow after I have bought a better mask!

Again any comments would be appreciated.

As you can see I have now got the white black and hull done just need a bit of tidying up white to black in a couple of spots but I will need to apply the decals for the boot topping so can someone tell me the best way to achieve this as I lightly primed the hull with grey matt primer so what should I do to the remaining grey area to stick them on as I see via some tutorials (youtube) it should be a smooth gloss finish to apply them? Also any tips on the technique to use would be helpfull.

Help

Hi All

Well I have done the touch ups which I am happy with. Then after watching several Decal tutorials decided to press on only to find that they are no where near wide enough! I have painstakingly masked to the models reference lines so have ordered paint and will apply the decals as necessary. I live on an Island so things take time to get here.

Hi All

Here are some pics of my progress. Applied the Ferrari Red to the boot topping then tried to apply the white sheer stripe which didnt go well. I have managed to track down some white trimline from model dockyard at 0.5mm it will be slightly out but good enough for first attempt.

Whilst in the local hobby shop it turns out the proprietor is making the same model for Cunards boardroom. Nearly finished apparently, he has even made furniture for each individual cabin!! He has given me plenty of tips.

Deck 7 is a dry fit to see what I have to do and I am not happy with the deck colour too dark so have mixed some more and will post when done.

After seeing your model project and Morten's waterline model, I'm seriously thinking about adding this ship to my "Must Do" list.

Which manufacturer are you doing?

I'm eyeing a Revell at one of my local hobby shops but there's someone here on the forum who's thinking of selling theirs (by a different manufacturer).

Looking good so far ..... Matt
