Hi everyone. It's been 4 years since i last posted anything here. I am right now building the 1/700 Revell kit, with a lot of alterations, enhancements, and some scratchbuilding. I also have the Tom's 1/700 Olympic Class rails and details PE sets for this model.
The kit is nicely molded, but still has some accuracy issues. I decided to leave out other details because of the scale of this kit. Any questions and comments regarding my model are welcome.
the deckhouse walls did not have rails and lights, so i made use of styrene rod and pulled sprue for them.

Welcome back to TRMA. Outstanding work in small scale. Colors are spot on. Can you post a photo with a coin, jar of paint or some object next to your build to give us an idea of how small this kit is? Look forward to seeing your progress.

I decided not to use the kit's sirocco vents since they're inaccurate, so i scratchbuilt ALL of them, using stryene rod, styrene sheets, and CA glue. i also hollowed out the cowls with a .6mm drill bit.
here can be seen the kit's inaccurate vents, and some of the ones i have scratchbuilt
I am also correcting most of the locations of the vents and am using putty to form their concrete bases.
I got all the information i needed for corrections from the rivetcounter website.
