#24, "What's available now for 1/144 Titanic models?"
I was curious of what's only available now for 1/144 Titanic models, recently Peter Davies discontinued making the resins sets and then the etched brass sets and now Dan has discontinued making the 1/144 hull and resin parts, looks like until there's another source for buying the 1/144 hull or resin parts it looks like we will have to make just about everything scratch build,I have Peter's book and I have the Hahn plans and Art's Rigging diagram,It looks like now about the only stuff left for one to purchase to help build a 1/144 Titanic is the Hahn etched set beside Hahn's plans. Am I missing anything like what one can still order?

Pretty sad isn't it - when Dan sells the last of his 1/144th orders - and seeing Peter isn't doing any more of his resin parts - that leaves us model builders with the Hahn PE and Tom's modelworks railings, deck chairs and benches - which I guess is better than nothing at all. The PE would take a lot of pressure off some of the scratchbuilding efforts.
Perhaps someone will buy up Dan's molds and plugs and start producing them - hopefully they will - who knows after I finish "Titanic" I might start on "Olympic" - ha, and end up in a padded cell! I don't know what Peter is up to - been a long time since I've heard from him - he was going to offer decals - but, whatever happened to them - heaven only knows.
Good luck if you're planning on building the 1/144th - fortunately there are people out there that insist that they build their own hulls and that's great - Dan gave me the chance to own one - because building the hull takes more space than what I have - if Dan wouldn't have come out with his hull when he did - I'd still be dreaming away.
