#335, "Offloading my old model collection: Seven liner kits up for grabs"
Like the header says, I have seven kits I'll be listing on eBay starting next week, but I figure I'd post here in advance if anyone is interested. If you want more details (I can't list price or shipping here) contact me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org:
KIT #1: Revell 1/350 Lusitania. Bought this sometime between 1991-93. Box has a lot of wear and tear, glued and taped back together on the inside. The kit has been opened, but all the parts are there and still in bags.
KIT #2: (Another) Revell 1/350 Lusitania. Bought between 1991-93. Like the other Lusi kit, box is glued and taped back together on the inside. The kit has been opened, and some of the bags as well. Three funnel parts have detached from the sprue tree, but all parts are still there. Even so, will knock a few bucks off the asking price for this one.
KIT #3: Revell 1/570 Queen Mary. The scale on this is really closer to 1/600. This is Revell's re-issue of their earlier '70s kit, but now in a teal blue box. Box is open but bag with parts is still sealed. But this is a kit with a lot of sharp edges, the bag is starting to tear apart on its own. Will need to tape box shut to make sure nothing leaks out.
KIT #4: Anmark 1/450 QE2. I'm given to understand this kit is something of a rarity. I've only seen it twice in my life, and the second time, 23 years ago, I snapped it up immediately. However, the box is in very bad shape, caved in on itself. Inside: The hull halves have been glued together, and main decks have been taken out of their bags. All the parts are still there, though.
KIT #5: Glencoe 1/400 United States. I'll be honest, this kit is going to need WORK if you take it on. Box has been opened but all the parts still there. Truthfully, it looks more like the America or Constitution, perhaps, than the actual United States. For scratchbuilding enthusiasts only.
KIT #6: Academy / Minicraft 1/350 Titanic #1. Bought this between 1991-93. Box is opened but everything is still there in the bags.
KIT #7: Academy / Minicraft 1/350 Titanic #2. Bought between 1991-93. Box is opened but everything is still there in the bags. Bag containing prom deck plating has been opened, probably because I wanted to study those pieces for a conversion to the Olympic. Will knock a dollar or two off to compensate.
Thanks for reading! Contact info, again, is up at the top. If and when I list these on eBay most prices will be pretty rigid, but I'm definitely more open to a little friendly haggling with TRMA members.
These seven are from a collection of 40+ kits I'm getting rid of. A few warships (Heller, Hasegawa), lots of airplanes as well. Let me know me if you want to see the entire list. Photos are too large to upload here, so I can only send those in reply e-mails - or you can download and see for yourself:
